This site is here mostly to occupy this domain name until there is some justification for having it. Until then, pass the time with these odds and ends...
The articles collected here have led varied lives: in pirate translation for a Romanian newspaper, incorporated in a Canadian coursebook, provoking letters to the editor and like outrage.
The Writer's Directory lives here; a monumental collection of broken links and outdated info. Yet it remains the largest directory of literary links anywhere. It is no longer likely to make it into print; still for anyone willing to overlook its many shortcomings it may prove helpful.
Bristol photographer Paul Groom used me as a cover model for Venue magazine. Other stuff will appear here eventually.

I was born on the banks of the muddy Ohio in 1972. I now live in Bath, England. In between I've slain scorpions in Mexico, fled the Russian mob in Prague, and melded minds with Henry James in Hyde Park. In the daytime I used to edit "commentary by prominent statesmen and intellectuals," but now I edit a huge online directory of hotels and B & Bs. In the evenings I write. I am currently working on a play that will appear at the Rondo Theatre in Bath this March.
